On Saturday, August 20, 2011 Weaving the Fate, the band formerly known as VILLANOVA, took the stage for the first time at the Township Auditorium.
They were joined by up and coming Columbia base bands The Casual Kings & Death of Paris!

Weaving The Fate
Weaving The Fate produces a universal sound with a demographic that surpasses age, gender, and race. The live show is an electrifying mix of musical virtuosity and playing passionately written original songs. Brian Conner, lead singer/songwriter and guitarist for Weaving The Fate has perfected a unique style of soulful rock. Conner’s’ guitar skill is a passionate combination of technical jazz-fusion and Jimi Hendrix inspired licks which beautifully blend with the tight-pocket powerhouse of bass player Bobby Dredd and drummer Jeremy Finesse Roberson. Dredd’s Victor Wooten/Larry Graham-esque prominent string slap style is proof that he is a graduate of the old school of funk. Roberson (drummer and backing vocals) has an exquisite ability to maintain precision and timing while he adapts his style to any genre of music. His unique smooth style has earned him, numerous accolades and led him to be known by musical peers and fans alike as none other than “Mr. Finesse”. Walking musical encyclopedia DJ Able One brings samples, cuts, beats, and keys to the quartet to complete the colorful canvas. He’s a mad scientist that will blow you away with his turntable trickery and masterful music manipulation. Before joining the soulful rock of Weaving The Fate, Able produced and recorded many local and regional hip hop artists. With a tight and precise rhythm section, sincere soulful vocals, and the collaboration of scratches and samples, Weaving The Fate creates an unusual blend of danceable jams, hard driving rock songs, and soulfully written ballads. Weaving The Fate has heavy emphasis on melody, singing, and lyrics. The songs are radio friendly and meant to be rocked live. Weaving The Fate strives to produce music that touches people’s hearts and captures a respectable fan base of music lovers.

The Casual Kings
The Casual Kings formed when Rhett & Mike A teamed up with the rhythm section of Mike M and Collin D in 2010. Drawing from a collective love of bands like Rage Against the Machine, 311, and recent Universal signee Weaving The Fate the band writes songs that practically force your feet to move and your hands to raise in the air.
They have been on a non-stop tour of the southeast since the February 2011 release of their record “Bustin’ Thru” at a sold-out show in their hometown of Columbia, SC, and their explosive live show promises to make The Casual Kings one of the breakthrough acts of the Southeast!

Death of Paris
2010 was certainly quite a year for Death of Paris, the electro-pop brainchild of singer Jayna Doyle and guitarist Blake Arambula that rose from the ashes of their previous band, This Machine is Me. Conceived in July 2009 when This Machine is Me dissolved, Doyle and Arambula began writing for a new project, pumping out demos with a more mature and focused feel to them. In late December of that year, they booked time to record in Los Angeles, CA at Killingsworth Recording Company with David Baker at the production helm. 5 Months and 30 songs later, they flew to LA and came home with their 10 song full length debut, which they released October 22nd, 2010. After several successful hometown shows, as well as radio airplay and press coverage all over the Southeast, the band, now with guitar player Patrick Beardsley, bassist Patrick North and drummer Bryan Bass, followed up their local success with a Southeast tour in January 2011. The tour took them through the venues, malls, coffeehouses and radio stations of SC, NC, GA and FL, and for now Death of Paris is constantly playing regionally to build their ever-growing fan base in the Southeast.
